Grief v. relief

Divorce could be called exchanging what began as better than good but became worse than bad for neither, a feeling of emptiness where grief over love lost is neutralized by relief felt regarding hate discarded. It’s about shared images, a pair of fantasies never made into one. And here it remains a fading memorial abandoned incomplete when one of its “love artists” moved on up–via bed sheets–and the other stepped down from further participation in such projects.
